Part-time Administrator (30 hours per week)

Reporting to:     Rehoming Co-ordinator

Main Purpose of Role

To provide an efficient and friendly customer care service to all visitors and telephone callers. To provide general administrative support to the Operations Director and Rehoming Co-ordinator.

Essential Desirable
Excellent communication and customer care skills NVQ 1 Customer Care
Friendly manner with ‘can-do’ attitude
General admin experience in a busy environment Experience of working as a receptionist or in a frontline customer role
Good administrative skills and good written English Previous experience as a receptionist in an animal rescue centre
Able to multi-task effectively
Confident and friendly telephone manner
Capable of standing in occasionally for the re-homing co-ordinator
Experienced user of Word and Excel Experienced user of PowerPoint
Willingness to learn
Interest in animals and their welfare Previous experience of working for a charity
Able to work weekends Previous experience of working weekends
